"Paranormal Investigations on Battlefields" @ Lily Dale Assembly
08/31/2008
- 08 /31/2008
7:00pm - 10:pm
$40.00
How does one research a battlefield for historic information germane to the investigation site? How does one even find a Civil War site (they’re not all national parks like Gettysburg) and how does one get permission to investigate there? What is the proper use of the two types of equipment, “detecting” equipment and “recording” equipment? What does each piece of equipment do? And finally, what is the proper way to document all the data gathered? Mark has participated in over 100 investigations and taught hundreds of students on the proper methods of conducting a paranormal investigation. His main emphasis, in the last several years, has been on teaching people how to conduct a paranormal investigation so that it will yield testable data for further scientific study.

"Ghosts of Gettysburg and Beyond" @ Lily Dale Assembly
08/31/2008
- 08 /31/2008
1:30PM - 4:30PM
$40.00
America’s Civil War battlefields are laboratories for paranormal investigations. Mark Nesbitt has collected over a thousand stories that appear to show evidence of spirit entities lingering on battlefields, as seen in The Ghosts of Gettysburg series on the History Channel. Dr. Emmons has collected similar accounts of hauntings in China as well as in the town of Gettysburg and on the Gettysburg College campus. Using these data as well as photographs, videos and audio recordings, Nesbitt and Emmons will present both evidence of ghosts and theories to explain them. Mark and Charlie have also had their own personal “ghost” experiences over the years and will share in discussion with you how their curiosity over these events is currently leading them into further research to turn up the scientific spotlight on ghosts.
